Category: Page Layout
This is specifically aimed at the pitfalls of page layout, specifically for stationery and bookwork, but it does touch on custom layouts and nested impositions (e.g. cartons, envelopes, CD faces). Page layout is normally an issue which a prepress operator can fix, but must charge out for their time, and is normally contested by the customer. Specific examples include using the hairline measurement for outlines, not adding bleed to items that extend to the trim edge, or having to redo a CD face due to the stacking ring not being accounted for on the artwork.
